Things to Do

For a place that is so relaxing there so many things one can see and do, And one wonders if its better to sit back and look out for dolphins or get up and go out still the choice is yours.

Local leisure facilities include golf, swimming, walking and snoozing. The long sandy beaches at Whitsand Bay are at the bottom of your garden. Walks include the Southwest Coastal  Path again less than 30 yards away, are generally more than enough for even keenest of walkers - and some how here, there always seems to be a pub at the end of the trail!

During the Summer months a ferry runs from the beach in Cawsand (less than 2 miles away) to the Mayflower Steps in Plymouth's historic Barbican Port. The history of the City will absorb you for hours; after your culture stop only a short step away is Plymouth's shopping centre.

Why not go out and explore the local coastal villages such as Kingsand and Cawsand. There are a variety of places to eat in locally where you will be made most welcome. The twin villages can also offer two tea rooms several pubs and a small gallery selling local pictures, prints and photographs as well as contemporary jewellery. To see the fishing industry at work in the West Country then a visit to Looe and Polperro is a must..
